WELCOME FROM OUR HEADTEACHER
MS R LALOR
Thank you for showing an interest in St Aidan’s Catholic Primary School. I hope that you find our website a useful introduction to our school.
St Aidan’s is a one form entry primary school and is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust within the Diosese of Hexham and Newcastle. It caters for children between the ages of 3 and 11 and serves the parish of Our Lady and St Aidan’s, Wallsend.
We are a happy and successful school with a dedicated staff and supportive parents and Local Governing Committee. We take pride in our rich cultural heritage and work together to ensure that through the promotion of the Gospel Values, we respect and value each other. We value each child as an individual and work closely with parents to foster faith, love, caring attitudes, thoughtfulness, mutual respect, self discipline, confidence and independence. We work in partnership with our supportive parents to provide high quality education for all our children.
The nature of education is constantly changing and evolving and this presents schools with many fresh challenges. At St Aidan’s, we welcome such challenges as an opportunity to introduce fresh thinking and ideas so that the education we provide for our children is always of the highest standard.

OUR VISION & MISSION
COME IN AND LEARN WITH JESUS, GO OUT AND SERVE WITH LOVE
Our visions and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens who are able to serve the world through their talents.
Our vision is that St Aidan's is a place where every member of our community experiences the deep joy of God's love, through following the teachings of Jesus Christ; that every member of our community serves God in every word, action and all that they do.
Our mission at St Aidan’s School is to create a joyful learning environment that nurtures children’s self-confidence and self-esteem, which empowers them to reach their personal, spiritual and educational potential through praying, worshipping, playing and learning together.
